Tim-- Some of our City's best palm trees were just beyond the Padres' outfield fences at Qualcomm! The courtyard of the new federal courthouse on Broadway might have held some promise for some natural beauty, but the tight federal budget and the drought combined to give us a xeriscape. The lawn south of the older federal courthouse is now artificial turf. I thought the County did a great job with its Administration Building grounds and one quadrant looks like it will emphasize trees. The County turned its parking lot into a park-- a Reverse Joni Mitchell move. Thanks for joining the discussion. We'll have another post next week (with less background noise-- I've learned my lesson about shooting near a fountain).
